The Runner's Log I thought I should share this software called “The Runner’s Log” with all the runners out there that wish to keep track on their training. It’s a very simple tool to use and more important “It is FREE”. That’s right it’s free to download and use it. I assume everybody knows about the website called www.download.com where you can download thousands of software, windows, game, music, CNET, and all WEB.
All you got to do is to introduce in the search bar the category you are looking for such as audio & video software, security & spyware, utilities & drivers, design tools, networking, browsers, chat & e-mail, business & productivity, etc. Then you have the option to download what you are interested in for free or you have two more options to purchase it or free to try it. That is how I have found “The Runner’s Log” software. It belongs to the category SPORTS and it caught my eyes because it is the most downloadable software in this category, 15,122 downloads. I am going to provide you with the highlights of this simple and great running log that looks like a calendar method that allows you to follow your training up to 5 weeks at a glance, enabling you to see the overall patterns in your training and help prevent overtraining and injuries. - This is how it looks like – the overall look
- The options you have to a great description of your daily training:
· Your running route, for example: “Myrtle Beach State Park” · Type of training such as intervals, hills, recovery, tempo, fartlek, race, and LSD. · Shoe you are using for that particular run. On the top bar you have the option to add the model of the shoe you are using, start date, manufacturer (ex: Nike, Adidas, Reebok), and comments about the shoe - its confortability. Color of your shoes · How you felt in that particular day like super, good, normal, poor. · Weather such as sun, party-cloudy, cloud, windy, rain, and snow. · Time, distance, pace - the software calculate automatically the pace of your run according to the time and distance you ran · Comments about your run · You also have the option to choose the measurements you want to use – in kilometers or miles. I strongly recommend this software. It is just great. Give it a try
